Tomato Gravy

    1 large can  Cento whole peeled tomatoes  w/ basil
    1 tbsp kosher salt
    2 tsp garlic powder
    3 tsp black pepper
    1 tbsp sugar

    Empty the can into a large skillet, and gently crush the tomatoes through your
    fingers until they are broken up. Add the seasonings. Simmer over medium low heat
    until most of the liquid is gone.  Serve over buttered white rice garnished with
    chopped parsley.
